11 Years

Dustin and I celebrated our eleven year anniversary on June 6th. Marcy and Brad watched the kids for us and we had a night away to Red Wing, MN.
I’m so thankful for the years God has given me with Dustin and, hopefully, many more to come.
Some of the things I’m thankful for: Dustin’s committment to not go to bed angry, his committment to pray together nightly before bed, his tenderness to my feelings, that we both like children’s books (Chronicles of Narnia) and enjoy reading them together, that we can both get into sci-fi and/or action adventure (Star Trek, Bourne movies), his fascination with presidential history (most of the time I’m glad for this!), his awe of God’s amazing work in science.
Of course I’m thankful for our children and all the hard things God has carried us through. Great is His faithfulness!

11 years … my how time has flown by! We’re coming up on our 11th as well … isn’t it hilarious looking back on how everybody in that Linda Dr. apt was hooking up with their future spouses at the same time! I still have a picture of all of us (Jaime and I, you guys, Justin and Lea, and Kyle and Laura) going to some strange event in downtown Waterloo. Can’t remember what it was all about … i guess my eyes were on my beautiful bride to be!
what is Doug talking about?? I don’t have any recollection of some strange event in downtonw Waterloo.

Uh…need a little more info, please! Doug and I are cracking up right now that all you wrote was “I do.” Are you fishing for more comments!!!ha-ha Now Doug is saying, “Get to bed.” So, unfortunately I’ll have to be in suspense until tomorrow!
BTW-All Doug says he can remember is that it had something to do with a rodeo. All I say is, I don’t think I’d ever go to a rodeo!!

Jaime- that was me that said I do – I was just logged in as Dustin! Ha – too funny! I don’t really remember it that well except that we all went to a thing in Waterloo- and we all dressed up. I was thinking a concert not a rodeo. What I was saying I do too is you saying you didn’t have any recollection- I basically had the same recollection as Doug- minus the rodeo!
