We are trying to memorize Psalm 34 right now. I am pretty bad at memorization but it’s so valuable to do, so we keep trying. Also I see how quickly Lucy can memorize and I want to take advantage of her brain!
I really love these verse and am so challenged by them.
I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth!
Lord make it true.
While in CA we were able to see some old friends from our TBI days. Kathryn was my accountability partner in those days. It was great to see them and to see how their family has grown.

Our last days in CA were spent with the Peace family. We had a great time with them. Lucy had a lot of fun playing with the girls. She also really enjoyed getting to walk their dog, Frankie.

When I was getting the directions from Disneyland to Hemet, CA I was looking at the map and something caught my attention: The Richard Nixon Library. I’m sure it would have caught your eye too. I immediately went to Kellie and made my plea my case for visiting Nixon’s birthplace and library.
We all actually had quite a bit of fun there (though I’m sure I enjoyed it more than the others). There was a great inauguration display that included Reagan’s handwritten speech from his 2nd inauguration, Clinton’s speech from his 2nd inauguration with his notes as well as one by FDR.
There was a beautiful garden that Lucy loved. Kellie took her out there so that I could have more time going through the museum.

The house Nixon was born in is still there.

Does this next photo look familiar? It is the actual Marine One that Nixon used (it was decommissioned after Ford left office).

Here is Nixon’s grave site with an interesting inscription on his tombstone. It says, “The greatest honor history can bestow is the title of peacemaker.”

Finally, here are some great photos of Lucy in the replica of the East Room of the White House.

I know Disney pics might be getting old for all of you but this is helping me orgnaize my photos!! This was a really cute part of the park and probably Lucy’s favorite place to play.

And it seems the fairies were a big hit with Elias too.

Our favorite princess.

This is the first of many Disneyland posts! We had a great time. It was so fun seeing Lucy enjoy herself so much. Thank you Ivan for getting us in for free! What a blessing. Thanks to his brother and friend who also made it happen for us.
On our way
