Lucy’s Dance Recital

Filed under: Lucy — by Kellie @ 9:25 am

Lucy had her first dance recital last Saturday.  She is the cow!  She wasn’t too happy about her costume.  I really didn’t blame her!  They were the only class that were not in cute little dresses or tutus.  But I have to say when they came on the stage everyone laughed.  And yeah they didn’t know their dance very well.  And it made it even worse being on stage in front of everyone!

Here is little buds as his usual happy self.  Right now he has an ear infection so he was pretty miserable yesterday.  But just after two doses of antibiotic he is already getting back to normal.

A friend of ours wrote this song and made this video to go with it.  I thought it was beautiful.

Pittsburgh

Filed under: Dustin, Elias, Lucy, What I'm into — by Kellie @ 6:26 pm

Dustin and I spent the last weekend in Pittsburgh.  Before I tell what we were doing there I want to say I thought Pittsburgh was a really interesting place.  I didn’t realize it was in the Appalachian Mountain range.  It’s very hilly and has 3 rivers running through it.  I thought it was a unique city.  Also every where I went the people were very friendly.  I thought people seemed a lot more friendly than they do here.

We visited some good friends, Ben and Stacy Reaoch.  Ben pastors a church there and it was so encouraging to see how God is and has been using them.  I really enjoyed getting to know the various believers and was encouraged by all God is doing there.

I was able to share about God’s faithfulness in my own life and Dustin got to talk about justification through faith from the book of Habakuk.  So we had a great time.

Little Elias made the trip with us and did great.  Everyone thought he was the best baby- he was on good behavior!  Lucy stayed home with Uncle Brad and Auntie and then with Aunt Kate and Uncle Mitch.  Thanks again guys!

Dustin is taking a class at Southern in KY this week.  The people he stayed with the the first couple of nights took a “first day of school” pic.  Pretty funny.  He has had a good week- full and busy!  Well besides the raging migraine he had one day and then getting trapped in an elevator for about 20 minutes!  He had to be rescued by some guys!

I saw this pic on CNN today and thought I bet Dustin would love that pic.  I was right.  It is kind of interesting though.

Walking

Filed under: What I'm into — by Kellie @ 8:34 pm

Well I’m attemping to get back into shape!  Not having exercised for about 9 months now it’s going to take some work.  But to my credit – I was on modified activity so I did have an excuse.  I actually really enjoy exercising so it’s not too hard for me to get motivated to do it but it is hard to find the time and energy!  Although I can say after only having worked out this past week it does give you an energy boost.

But don’t be to impressed I am just doing a walk at home dvd.  It’s 4 miles but so far I have just been doing 3- mainly a time factor.  I think the dvd must be for really overweight people b/c she is always saying stuff like- Good job for working out today, good job for getting off that couch and don’t worry about the steps it’s just good you are doing it!  But I am glad I’m doing it and for this out of shape body it’s been a good work out!

It looks really cute but it’s taking us all some getting used to!  Lucy wasn’t so sure about it at all at first but I think Daddy’s ooing (how do you spell that?) and aweing made her feel a lot better!
