A Little Update
Well I haven’t posted much as we have been in survival mode! We love little Elias but we forgot how brutal those first few weeks can be! They seem to be getting better or we are just getting used to it. I think maybe Eli has reflux but I am going to keep observing for another week before I call the Dr. He spits up a lot and fusses after feedings- well not just fusses- he cries like he seems he is in pain. Any advice or suggestions? The best thing seems just to hold him upright – which is one reason I think at nights he has to sleep on us (he’s being held most of the day). So we aren’t sleeping well – I have a hard time sleeping with him- worrying I will roll on him, or holding him and waking up with a sore neck.
Lucy also has a bad cold. So last night if Elias wasn’t up she was!

Lucy’s Prayer Tonight
Lord thank you for this baby. I pray that you would kind of help him because the other day his poop sprayed on Mommy. Amen

Lucy Meets Elias
At first we had planned on Lucy meeting Elias yesterday, the day he was born, but the surgery was a bit later, everything seemed to take longer and Kellie was so exhausted that we decided to wait for today. Lucy was pretty excited. She was at the hospital for about two hours and wanted to be right next to him almost the entire time. She loved holding him and was full of confidence in her ability to appropriately care for a baby (lots of practice with dolls I guess). It was really sweet.
Elias this morning
A very happy mama
A proud big sister

Autumn
I really do love the fall weather and am excited for more of the leaves to start turning colors. We got a couple books from the library about leaves changing and Lucy just loves them. I have actually learned more names of different trees from them too!
The other day we went to a pumpkin patch with Marcy and Ryan. The kids had a great time feeding the goats and just running around. They also each liked picking out their little basketful of gourds and pumpkins.
