My Mom and I took Lucy, Ryan, Payton and Nathan to an apple orchard today. It was a pretty good time once we found it! They had a petting zoo, corn maze, horse rides and of course apple picking. I took the little guys to the petting zoo and Mom took the big kids to the corn maze. They all had fun. Lucy and Ryan were a little afraid when some of the bigger animals came right up to them- they were very friendly! They also sold some pretty yummy stuff in the bakery. I ate one too many of the apple cider doughnuts! If I can figure out how to get pictures off my cell phone I’ll post them up here.

Nesting
I am nesting big time. I have been organizing everything. It feels so good and I think why didn’t I do this before. My sister reogranized by linen/hygiene supplies cloest- it was a nightmare. When I looked at how she did it I thought why didn’t I think to put it like that. I reorganized my closet the other day and got out all the baby clothes. I even cleaned my junk drawer! I also bought photo albums and put away a bunch or random photos that were hanging around the house. Of course I still need to upload and order photos from the last year- that project feels endless! I should upload as I go!
What projects do you have on your to do list?

Praying
One thing I really enjoy doing is praying for my children. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying I do it nearly as much as I wish I did but I really love doing it. It’s such a privlege that we can ask the God of the universe for things and it’s fun to imagine all that I want him to do in their lives.
When I was pregnant with Owen I prayed the Proverbs. God didn’t quite answer the way I wanted Him too but He did answer and fufilled many of those requests but just not the way I expected. I guess that is all part of the prayer process too- me surrendering them to Him and getting to know His desires and want them more than mine.
When I was pregnant with Lucy I mainly prayed Phil 2:14 Do all things without grumbling or questioning, 15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast to the word of life. Her name means light so that has always been an ongoing prayer of mine for her.
I mainly pray from Praying for the Next Generation. It is a booklet our church gives out when you dedicate your child. I really love this book- it basically just has different Scriptures in categories, then they separate it into 12 sections. So I just pray one section each month.

DVD Suggestion
Last night Dustin and I rented Bella. We both really enjoyed it. I know there was a lot of buzz about it last year or the year before but we just finally got around to watching it. I loved the message of the film and seeing more of Latino culture.

The Olympics
We really enjoy watching the Olympics at our house. I especially like the swimming and gymnastics. Last night we watched some of the women’s olympics. Lucy loved it and said, ”I can do that curly she just did.” We were like, “Really, show us.” She got on the floor and leaned backwards and then kind of jumped up. It was pretty funny. Then she asked what Shawn Johnson’s name was. I told her and she said, “No, I think her name is Lucy.”
This picture is from her last day of dance but maybe I should enroll her in gymnastics!

From the mouth of Lucy
At the grocery store, loud enough for everyone in the aisle to hear, “Mom, your belly just keeps getting bigger and bigger.” I was hoping people looked and saw that I was pregnant!
After making a peach pie together this afternoon, “Thanks Mom. I couldn’t have done it with out your help.”
