BFF’s

Filed under: Friends, Lucy — by Kellie @ 2:16 pm

I got to see my good friend Jaime a couple weeks ago.  It was a great time catching up with her and loved seeing her kids- especially baby Luke!  Lucy and Lily played really well together.   The last time we had seen each other they kind of clashed so it was fun to see them getting along so well.

Emie, Lily, and Luke          The last picture is Sela, Jaime’s niece.  Traci also has a Lucy but I didn’t get any pictures of her.

Dance Class

Filed under: Lucy — by Kellie @ 1:19 pm

Today was Lucy’s first day of dance class.  She was pretty hesitant and shy but she did okay.  I was impressed with the class.  It seemed like she actually got exercise and was learning some basics.  She doesn’t say much at class but boy did she have a lot of questions when we left!

Pool Party

Filed under: Friends, Lucy — by Kellie @ 1:18 pm

Sarah graciously offered to watch Lucy for me yesterday.  Mags and her had a little pool party and then got some time with baby Stella- isn’t she beautiful?!

Learning to Ride

Filed under: Dustin, Lucy — by Kellie @ 9:58 am

I am hoping by the end of the summer Lucy will know how to ride a bike.  We had this little boy’s bike in our garage- from someone eles who lived here before us.  We tried to girl it up with a pink basket and girly looking training wheels.  She loves it- especially the basket.  She won’t go too far without one of us helping her though.

Intent

Filed under: Lucy — by Kellie @ 9:42 am

We went to the zoo a couple of weeks ago.  Lucy had a blast.  I had to be pushed around in a wheel chair but we all had a good time.  I thought she looked pretty intent in this picture.

Can You Do One Hundred???

Filed under: Dustin — by Kellie @ 5:54 pm

One Hundred

Yesterday I started the 100 push up challenge. I saw it on a friend’s blog (Vitamin Z). On the first day you simply do as many push ups as you can in order to determine what kind of training you need over six weeks so that you will be able to do 100 consecutive push ups. It sounded fun. Do any of you want to join me?

Kellie suggested I wait to tell you how many I was able to do on my first try in order to see first how many you can do (we especially have in mind her brothers). Any takers?

Challenging

Filed under: What I'm into — by Kellie @ 6:59 pm

Our small group Bible study is reading the book How People Change.  I finished chapter one and was so excited.  I want my identity to be more rooted in the gospel.  The hard part is actually applying it!  It’s like why do I forget so fast God’s love for me in Christ?  Why do I forget how sinful I am and how much I have been forgiven?  Which the latter truth should enable me to be more long suffering and forgiving with others.  So I am really hoping that God will indeed change me through applying some of the truths in this book.

Wierd Child

I am kind of afraid to move away from my Celtics post.  I never thought it would generate so much response.  I guess I need to post more on sports to get my brothers commenting!

Anyway, Lucy found this outfit the other day in our storage and decided to put it on.  It’s size 3-6 months!

Celtics vs. Lakers

Filed under: Dustin, What I'm into — by Kellie @ 7:07 pm

Dustin and I have been watching the NBA finals.  I have to say I have really been enjoying it.  Basketball is one of the few sports I actually understand and enjoy watching.  Yes, I am a bit of a fare weather fan- this is pretty much the only time of the year I watch.  I must say though we have followed Kevin Garnet and I am happy that he is getting to play in the finals.

For my brothers, yes I am a bit like mom.  She always got really into the world series even though she didn’t really watch baseball the rest of the year.

What was I thinking?

Filed under: Lucy — by Kellie @ 1:46 pm

Don’t leave your kid alone with a tub of these.  Lucy made a “castle” with them while I was upstairs!  They are not fun to pick up and for some reason wouldn’t all fit in the tub again.
