Rites of Passage

My brothers, Mitch and Jared and their families, visited this weekend. My brother Mitch had shaved his head and all the others just decided on a whim to join him. Dustin said it just seemed too fun to miss out on. He was regretting it the next morning when he had to go to church. Good thing he didn’t have to preach- I think it would have been too distracting for the congregation!
The other rite of passage was my little niece Zoe got her ears pierced. I think Jared and Emilie both regretted the decision- they can’t stand to see Zoe cry. I don’t think Jared had ever seen her cry like that- she’s such a good baby. She didn’t cry long at all. I thought Jared was going to faint- seriously! I felt kind of guilty because it was sort of my idea to do it!

I can see Jared about fainting…too funny. I bet they look super cute though!! Can’t wait to see them in her little ears.

Kellie…it was so great to hang out yesterday! Jaya has talked about Lucy several times and even uses her name in imaginitive play! I loved just being able to catch up and talk. We would love to do it again soon! I think that the haircuts look great! Also, I did not notice…does Lucy have her ears pierced too? Have a great week and I will be praying for you guys! Love you. Jared is such a softie daddy! I could never stand to see my kids cry when they got a shot or anything–I would always get light headed too. Emmy does not look to happy holding Zoe’s head still either!! she looks so cute and little. poor baby… grandma loves her soooo much. Now she probably won’t be as trusting of people!!
