The Children’s Museum

Yesterday we went to the Children’s Museum with Marcy and the boys. We had never been there before and Lucy had a great time. Payton was pretty funny at the factory, he was definitley in charge and he worked like his life depended on it. Nate loved being postman at the “town”. And Lucy and Ryan had fun dancing on stage, playing with frogs in water and just about everything we did. I forgot my camera. I won’t make that mistake today at the fair!

My little bro got married this past weekend. Here is a picture of the happy couple. Dustin married them. It was the first wedding he ever did and I think it went very well. We had a great weekend and I think I may just post pictures this week- there are so many good ones. I forgot my camera but I have received many pictures from other family.

Precious Truth

Last night at supper Dustin and Lucy were listening to her Bible cd. It was a Christmas gift from her Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Sue and it puts her name in the songs- it’s really cute. One of the songs says, “Lucy, Jesus loves you.” At the very end the lady says in her strong southern drawl, “Lucy, Jesus loves you!”. Dustin said afterwards it appeared Lucy was deep in thought. He asked, “Lucy what are you thinking about?”. She responded with a smile and said “Jesus loves me!”. Too precious for this mother’s heart.

Ballet

I had no idea how much she would like this book. I may have started a little obsession with tutus now! She looked at this book for about 15 minutes by herself this morning and then had me read it to her 3 times. The main girl in the book is named Lili but Lucy calls her nea (after Linea, a little 5 year old in our small group) and she doesn’t like it when I say no her name is Lili. Today she put on the closest things she had to a tutu and then tried out the moves- it was pretty hilarious. She also kept asking “why, mom, why?” whenever I was reading the part about how they hold on to the bar for balance.

Babysitting

Last night I had the pleasure of babysitting this cutie! It was a lot of fun having Tareq at our house and I was so honored because I am the first person they left him with. He did pretty good most of the time. Lucy loved having him here and only called him Baby Tareq the whole time. She also kissed him about 15 times.

Phase 4

This basement has been so much work! We are finally grouting the tile. Next we have to buy trim and put it up and then seal the tile and then the fun part- putting everything back and making it look pretty.

I was lost but now am found!

I was blind but now I see. Well not exactly I don’t know if Bear was ever blind- if only he could tell us what he has seen this past month! Today at church as I was talking with some people all of a sudden out of my peripheal vision I saw an angel coming down from heaven with bear! No just kidding out of my peripheal vision I saw bear on the lost and found table! I had to interrupt the coversation and sprint over to bear. Of course Dustin wanted to give him to her. She seemed quite happy to have him back.
